History Tour, Normandy & Paris

A UK grammar school booked a 5-day WWII education trip. Our driver navigated narrow Normandy roads, waited at museums, and brought the group safely to CDG for the flight home.

The challenge

A UK grammar school was running their annual WWII history trip for 22 sixth-form students plus 3 teachers. Five days, 7 museum and memorial stops spread across Normandy and ending in Paris. Some sites were accessible only via single-track village roads. Strict safeguarding requirements: GPS visibility at all times, same driver for the whole trip, no overnight stops outside approved hotels. Parents needed to track the coach live on a shareable link.

Our solution

We assigned a single English-speaking driver with 15 years of school-trip experience and an enhanced DBS-equivalent background check. The coach was equipped with live GPS tracking shared with parents via link. The itinerary was re-routed to pre-dawn departures for the Normandy cliff sites to avoid tour-bus crowds. A second driver was on standby in Paris for the final day transfer to CDG to comply with driving-hours regulations.

The result

The school has rebooked us every year since. The same driver now drives their trip annually by request. Parents specifically cited the live tracking as reassuring — we now include it on every school booking by default.
